At an unexpected conference that went beyond revealing new models, Sanlorenzo presented its strategy behind the brand's unstoppable growth in recent years and, most importantly, outlined its new goals for the decade ahead. Held at the Majestic Barrière hotel on the eve of the new yachting season, this year's conference, titled Road to 2030, marked a departure from previous events. It provided insights into the future direction of the company, focusing not just on the 2022 models (Sanlorenzo's SP110, SD90s and Bluegame's BG54) but also on the broader vision. Sanlorenzo’s success lies in its innovation within tradition, balancing new ideas with brand consistency. Pioneering innovations like open terraces on the sides or sterns of yachts, and the asymmetric design introduced with the SL106A, have become industry standards. Despite challenges, including the pandemic, Sanlorenzo has seen continuous growth, with a record order intake surpassing 1.4 billion euros in 2022, projecting a 25% revenue increase over 2021. Looking to the future, Sanlorenzo is focused on sustainability, technology, services, and supply chain development. Notably, the company has made significant strides in environmental impact reduction with hydrogen fuel cell technology, collaborating with Siemens Energy and Rolls-Royce for eco-friendly propulsion systems. This includes a partnership to integrate hydrogen fuel cells on superyachts by 2024 and 2026. Additionally, Bluegame achieved a milestone by being selected as a partner for American Magic in the 2024 America’s Cup, designing a hydrogen-powered chase boat with foils. The company is also working on hybrid propulsion systems for its yachts, with a new BGM65HH model set for launch in 2025. Sanlorenzo’s strategy includes offering bespoke services to its clientele, including a monobrand charter fleet and maintenance services, as well as strengthening its supply chain by forming closer partnerships with suppliers. The conference also highlighted new models, such as the SP110 Smart Performance, SD90s, and BG54, as well as previewing two upcoming models for 2023: the SX100 and BGM75, which continue Sanlorenzo's tradition of innovative and sustainable design.
